So
I like to make Christmas cookies.
I have only done it once since I've been married.
Somehow I just never seem to get it done.
This year, my friend Ticey brought over some yummy goodies.
They were awesome, and gone quickly.
I got inspired to make something ~ anything ~ this year.
I got some ingredients,
put them on the counter,
and didn't make them.
Ugh!
So I made them today.
Because chocolate is good anytime!
I don't have the world's best pictures of this.
I wasn't planning on blogging it until after I was done,
but I am sure you will get the idea.
It is SUPER simple!
Chocolate Crack
Ingredients
1 box Cinnamon Toast Crunch
2 bags semi-sweet chocolate melts {or chips, peanut butter, caramel, butterscotch, whatevs}
any kind of mix-ins, if you want
Instructions {SUPER easy}
- Pour cereal into a large bowl
- Melt chocolate melts in microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until smooth {took me 90 seconds}
- Pour melted chocolate over cereal and stir well **I would have done mine in two batches if I would have been thinking ~ 1/2 box cereal and 1 bag, then repeat**
- Spread out cereal/chocolate mixture on wax paper {or foil if you don't have wax paper, ahem}
- Chill in fridge for 20 minutes to harden
- Break apart into pieces and dig in!
You could make this with any cereal/chip combination. It's basically haystacks. Cheerios and peanut butter chips sound good to me. Or Chex. Or Cinnamon Life. Or... well, you get the idea. I also sprinkled on some mini marshmallows at the last minute on half of mine. Nice combo, but they need to be mixed in not sprinkled on ~ they didn't really stick to the cereal/chocolate.
So now that the mad, crazy cookie/candy baking "season" is over,
what was the best cookie/candy/treat that you had over the holidays?

needs some powdered sugar then it would be really simple puppy chow...sorta...close enough to get rid of that craving you are giving me.
